Why not loan mountain thru LS?
Buying new truck. Why not rates are good. You needed 10k cash to cover any down time, after purchase Payment is 3k? Insurance $500 bobtail? Run your ### off and pay it down. Pay your self like a CO driver build up to 30k. Make sure your loan for truck is a good one, heard too many horror stories.Larry Lathrop Thanks this. -
Just be prepared for the worse unexpected, you know, how life loves to throw curve balls.

You will kick your own butt either way, wishing is just dreaming, plunging sometimes you swim sometimes you sink. Trump didn't go anywhere without taking risks, but then if you have a huge silver spoon. He has declared bankruptcy a few times, we have equal rights in this country..supposedly.

Used vs New - never ending dilemma. Lots of threads here. I bought a used one and the first 4 years cost me 75K to maintain it. This year (knock on the wood) I spent only 2.5 but it is over 1 million so...another 15K-20K of overhaul is looming. With a new one... If you somehow could know 100% that in the first 3-4years (400K miles) there is not going to be any downtime, nor any prolonged issues....maybe then there would be some temptation to go that way. With a used one, expect repairs and repairs but they can be done anywhere and the payments are half of a new truck. Payments are going to continue despite the business cycles. Today is good, in 12 months it could be bad. A paid for truck is such a comfort. Either way you go, it is not going to be easy.
