There is no way they'd give the same rights to a man who was her ex boyfriend or even ex husband if he wasn't related to the child.

I'm confused. How did being a Christian make her stop being a lesbian? Is there something in the holy water that made her stop desiring females?

I find myself offended that the reporter and the mother would use that as a "weapon" in the arguement....period.

It's done purely for the sake of inciting a reaction from the Religous community and has no bearing on this case. No other reason.

It's an open and shut case, as Federal law prevails in this case. It's a child "custody & visitation" case and you reap what you sow.

The "abuse & sexual" defense is commonly used against a man, to prevent visitation. I find it comical, she would try to use it against her former "spouse" LMAO.

he'd still have the right to pay child support though.:biggrin_25525:

there was a federal law passed in 1974 that makes it really hard for women to flee to other states in order to get a more favorable venue for custody hearings.

And thankfully, visitation can be enforced too.

    My visitation went like this.

Within 50 miles. I p/u and return children.
Outside of 50 miles, within state. One brings, the other returns.

Outside of the state. Custodial parent is responsible for all transportation. To and from :D

The cost of those plane tickets (2) from beautiful Hawaii twice a month, sure slowed her "dreams" down :D She elected to stay in state.

The article in question---someone's on some serious stuff. I agree with the opinion that the reporter and mother are using this child. CHILDREN ARE NOT PAWNS!!! PERIOD!!!!!!

My personal visitation order----I pick them up, take them back ANYTIME I WANT. Ex is a driver---only home once a month IF THAT. The only time I cannot contact my children is when he's home. Physical custody was given to his mother for a reason---before we moved back to the South, he bounced us all over the West Coast for a decade. When I finally had enough, I wasn't about to move my kids yet again. They had their teachers, friends, routine, and everything else. I could not, in good conscience, uproot them again. Some people look at me like I'm nuts. Frankly i don't give a flying rat's rear-end. I did what I felt, and still feel, is best for them.

Oh crap. Got on my soap box. I'm sorry. Anyway, using a child as a game piece is UNACCEPTABLE. The battle is between the mother and her ex. Mommy needs to correct her cranial inversion problem.
