Can't say I disagree with the concept of requiring the trucks that are in a small area to run clean. Have not seen the yellow have like L.A. in the '70s so not sure how much so not sure home much this concept is needed.

I guess one advantage of the "Clean Air" read (DPF equipped trucks - EPA 07 -- Production year 2008 and newer) is they will be constantly choking out on their own emissions if they are putting out too much smoke. And the shady operators will go broke quicker because of the increased down time and main costs.

Would prefer them require an "Annual dot inspection" every 30 days for a while to weed through the unsafe/constantly breaking down trucks.

$120,000 will fix A LOT of emission problems and cover a lot of downtime lol.

Only enough to get home (Winlock, WA) from Redmond, WA. And skated out before the worst of the commute. Watching the fire stuff down by Yreka. As long as most of the folks park on I5 I'll be fine. Cutting up to US97 and state highways till Reno. Heading out Sun for a Tuesday drop in Vegas.

If folks get too silly I'll blow over White Pass to Yakima and run 95 down out of Ontario, OR

You’ve driven I70 through the Co. Rockies this year heading east?
They got ruts in the pavement from the snow chains.
My present truck gives me much more command/control of the steering than three other trucks I drove on this. The steering is much better over bad pavement, holes, etc.
only thing I can rationalize is the larger engine. It’s putting the weight on top of those steers. Instead of from the fifth wheel. Also probably more weight when I’m empty.
Just something that surprised me. Am very happy with. Might consider on buying a truck?
