Here is another school in Hesperia, CA to stay away from.
STAY AWAY FROM SKYWAY
My son went through Sky Way Trucking in Hesperia and the equipment there was not up to code. The trucks were horrible, the instructors had no clue how to teach the students to back up. After repeatedly coming home and telling his Dad that he didn't think the trainers knew what they were doing, my husband went to the school to watch our son in training. He was right they didn't have a clue what they were doing. My husband has been driving truck for 17 yrs. and all it took was one day and he was able to show our son how to back up properly. Unfortunately because the lack of behind the wheel training on the real streets my son was employed by a company and his second night out rolled his truck and suffered minor injuries and was fired for lack of experience. I blame this on the Trucking School Sky Way and on the company that hired him with a trainer that wasn't in the jump seat where he should have been to instruct my son on what he was supposed to doJoe_Bags Thanks this. -
It's disgusting that schools like that are even allowed to be open.
I'm glad the school I went to was decent. The equipment wasn't new, but it was safe and we got a good grounding in the basics.
