So they can use your yards but you can’t use theirs?

 

Woke up in Redding, CA with a fresh 70, sent a QC message in around 9:30 reminding them of my existence. Got a message around 10:30 telling me to roll down to Woodland, CA. They had a load for me, but it wasn't in the system yet, and they'd provide further details ASAP.

Rolled down to Woodland. An hour or so away, still no load assignment or further details. Called DM, said I was an hour away, still awaiting further details. He said he'd double check.

Fifteen minutes away from Woodland, still no load assignment or further details. Pulled into the Pilot here in Dunnigan, sent in a message via QC informing them that I was parked and still waiting on an actual load assignment since I had no address, appointment time, pickup number, etc.

Hour and a half goes by.

Just got a QC message informing me that the load they had set up has cancelled.

 

Incredible!

 

Where was this? What yard?

 

I was trying to be diplomatic.

 

Thats Wytheville. Im all for Knight trucks using our yards as long as we can also use theirs. Knight and Swift being added to those we already use greatly improve the chances of finding last ditch parking late at night. The US Xpress yard near Atlanta has saved my bacon many times.
