Hopin I can get some help with a few questions about l.e.d. lights. I wanna replace the double sided, double stud ,fender mounted turn/marker lights on 2007 KW T-800. 1) Do I need model specific lights or are they all just universal? 2) I want the whole light to stay on front and backside is that just in the wiring or is there a specific model to get? 3) Will I need new flashers to run them or will the factory one work? I know these are probably silly questions but any help would be great. Thanks in advance for any info.

The factory flasher should be fine. I ran LEDs on my whole truck and trailer and never had flasher issues.
I think it depends on the model of light for it to stay lit. I would highly suggest you spend money on the right style of lights. To many people buy the lights at the truckstops then get disgusted after they only work for a few weeks. -
just find a lite that looks similar to yours should work most of the LED ones lite up on both sides

if you get by the Iowa 80 they have a fantastic selection of lights they also have a line of replacement bulbs to upgrade standard bulbs to LED"s. if you lenses that you would rather not replace.

Most of the aftermarket lights are wired to light both the front and rear lenses, and if the model has them they will also light up the smaller end light. You will also have a wire for the light to flash for the signal indicater. You should note that these lights are available with a single stud mnt. that you do not want.Other than that all you will have to decide is on if you want it to light up amber/red or amber/amber and if you might want clear lenses.Your flasher should be fine although some newer trucks have different power circuts that do not allow you to add lights or even install different switchs in the dash, talk to someone at KW to see if your truck was built with that type of circuts.Hope this helps you.

I have a 2002 T-800. When I changed everything over to LED's I had to change my flasher.. LED's don't draw enough current to switch some heavy duty flashers. Other than that, I had no problems.

I put the LED turn signal lights like you are describing on our 1998 T-800 last summer, they look great and were fairly easy to change. I think they are universal, I got mine from Iowa 80, you can get both lenses amber, or amber front, red rear. The lights will come on as running lights independent of the turn signals. I think the lights come with either single or double stud mount, you just put on what your truck has. I didn't have to change my flasher unit. And it goes without saying to use good connectors and silicone around where they go through the bottom side of the fender.

some have one stud on the bottom some have two
