It's not the heat. The humidity is the problem.

I was in Sweetwater, Texas, yesterday. It rained. I got wet. :)
Right now sitting in Salina OK. I have no APU. Free to idle as much as I want. Its nice in here. The truck stop has exceptionally good veggies with the dinners. Gores.

I do know. When In dry heat. Just get soaking wet. The world becomes a whole different place. I used to live in the desert.

It’s so nice in this truck right now. I added chocolate mix to my coffee. Also half water to double vanilla drink meal mix. Makes it like a milk shake. I can afford it. Runnin hard now. Already took my melatonin to get to sleep. So I can start at 2 am. Or at least wake up about then. Then I’m off to Arkansas. As you can see. I’m really suffering here. Unlike da cat. :)

Seriously cat, why don't you move on from the 62mph mega? There's better jobs available. It's a drivers market right now

    IluvCATS Thanks this.

If you’re at Gores truck stop you’re in Seiling. Unless there’s another one I don’t know about.

I run Oklahoma and Texas and you’re right, it’s stinkin hot. I spend quite a bit of time outside as well, unloading sand. One thing that helps a lot is I keep a couple of bandanas soaking in the melted water on the bottom of my ice chest. When I’m about to die of heat stroke, I grab one. That ice cold water on your face, neck and forearms does a lot to cool ya down.

I know a lot of folks use refrigerators these days, but just some way to soak a small towel would help a lot.

Also @Cattleman84 is right, the front curtains do work. I don’t have them so I use the silver reflective stuff, cut to fit. I run at night and sleep days. Use a generator and an 8000 BTU AC, it needs some help on the real hot days. Covering all the windows does the trick.

wore out, tscottme, Oldironfan and 2 others Thank this.
