What is the state of the big guys?

If you have an offer, stick with Swift. They are as good as any, and better then some. Werner here in Omaha has trainees stacked up in a holding pattern at the hotels in the area, waiting for trucks. They also have laid off 1,000 or so drivers within the last couple months. SO, Big Blue is not a good choice right now.

 

No one , especially a woman should contract themselves to the indentured servitude of a training carrier . You have little option if you aren't getting sufficient miles . Leave before the contracted term and you'll owe them a few thousand dollars . Do you want your wife to have that financial obligation if she is terminated due to an accident or is unable to work due to illness or injury ? Her security means nothing to them . The CDL mills turn out fresh meat on a regular basis .

that i dont doubt, i read that they have sold off like 650 trucks so far and may be selling up to 150 more so... weener is out of the question i would say

 

I heard and of course CL Werner didnt call and tell me this. LOL They have taken over 500 off the road for now, till freight picks up. But who knows.
