I see cre is up to their old tricks again, graduated in april 2008, had been in trucking almost 10 years, decided to finally get my a license, got on the road with my trainer, he had me falsifying my logs, had me driving 2-3 hours over my time etc. Good place to get your license through, not a good company to stay with! Funny thing is I have a local job outside of baltimore,md..but i actually want to go back on the road but i have lots of family and friends in trucking thats on the road, they say dont come out yet, at least wait till march or when the weather breaks. Everyone be safe out there!

Well I am a trainer and I would never have anyone falsify logs. Also, they are putting electronic logs in most of the trucks. So those days will be gone. The miles are always slow at the begining of the year. CRE seems to be about the only company hiring on the west coast.

LOL how bad do you have to be messing up that you have 2 people one the truck and he needed you to falsifying logs. I was a trainer their for a little over 2 yrs and i dont see how that could happen. what an idiot.

Exactly! Get this, he talked about how much fun we were goin to have while he was training me, he said unlike the stories he always hears about the the trainers! He was no different..he was driving 800 miles a day illegally, falling asleep at the wheel, which i dont play..i dont care how long anybody has been driving, once im on the truck its about my life and my safety, This guy had almost 10 years at cre; so he was being paid 50 cents or 51 cent for all miles on the truck he lived in texas had horses, was definitely trying to make lots of money, while i was on the truck, He said thats what he expects when he gets a trainee!

10 years driving doesnt mean #### if hes been training people like that. Hes just been lucky that nothing bad happened and now he thinks he can get away with n e thing. Not to mention you can drive 800 miles aday legally. And by his pay. Which isnt 50cpm they dont pay that much to n e one unless its a short haul. I assume he is a company trainer n not a leasee. When i was a lease trainer their i would run 4800-6100 miles a week and their was never n e need for log cooking with 2 people in 2 yrs. I hope you leave there as soon as you can i stayed too long.

I was there april- may 2008, their pay had went up to 50cpm,for 10 years experience, he had worked for them almost ten years, he was a lease trainer, when he did his over 800 miles a day he was over his driving time with stops he had made, he liked to take breaks, like shower and dinner over a hour and a half, then keep driving and make me take that break, put it on my log so i could drive longer etc. He was a real piece of work..the whole time trying to be nice. yeah i left though, i called a few classmates a few weeks later, they were working on their 3rd and 4th trainers! too many problems!

Can anyone recommend a driving school and provide an estimate of costs to get through it? Thanks Bubba

I cant really tell you a whole lot about schools because there are so many some good some bad. Most range from 2500-6000 bux. All will most likely be high paced quick cramming schools. You can read the schools threads on here and get some good and bad info.
