Installing a Tripac APU on Volvo VNL 780

No unfortunately I did not. My 2007 has D16 Volvo engine in it and I don’t know how heavy is a Cummins engine but D16 pretty heavy. Even with 45 and 46k I’ve never had any issues. Because is a heavy engine even before I installed the Tripac on it I’ve always kept my 5th wheel in the back.

 

Yes I installed the evaporator and the espar heater under the bunk passenger side. There are several way you can consolidate to save space. I installed them in two deferent ways. When you make your marks for the pass through watch and make sure you’ve clear floor supports, I accidentally cut through one of mine. About the vents, yes I cut a 4in hole on the passenger side of the bunk and installed one duct from the evaporator, and the other duct from the evaporator I tied up with a splitter into the truck sleeper duct.

I was waiting to catch-up with the other truck so I can send you pics of both setup, but yours is set up just like my other truck except I used a splitter to be able to install two vents under the bunk, one on each side of the bunk under the table. And secondly I removed the panel where the installed your sleeper vent and tied into the factory ducting so I’m able to get air at the top bunk. Other than that the evaporator and the other stuff are all like yours. The pics below are the first one I installed on this truck and the placement of the evaporator, heater etc are different.
