It changed, I don't REALLY care who the terminal people are so I don't know. My husband knows. But they fired alot of people over the year I was there... including the driver relation manager. And then the terminal manager quit citing some bs about not being able to do anything, the new guy came in made a bunch of changes and its a much nicer place now.

I'm really surprised they re-issue trucks with front end crash damage. That's not the message you want to send to the public "we run into things". I would think when it happens there would be a quick effort to repair the evidence.

People will assume the driver in the cab is the one who did it. If I were an O/O I wouldn't expect work parading that around to lessors.

I'm just surprised that they wouldn't do a proper repair job on it before issuing it to someone else. I guess they figure with a newbie it might get damaged again anyway.

And back to the original post: When I drove for USxpress I had to recover a truck and it was a complete mess on the inside, tires balding on the outside. It had been a "lease-purchase" truck and the driver couldn't make his payments, let alone get a new set of tires which I made them replace before I drove it back.

What the crap!!!! I wish the POS they gave me for 11 weeks was in that good of condition. I see it has the Werner trademark cab extension as well, eh?
Strange the TM at "Unsprungfield" was mentioned. Luckily, I was only there for orientation, and when I turned their garbage in. He struck me as being quite a piece of work.:biggrin_25525:

Well, I no longer have the peterbilt pictured above. I was chatting with my fleet manager about it trying to get it in the shop to fix a coolant leak. He offered me another truck instead. He had a Kenworth and a Freightliner Century both with around 260k miles and they both have APUs. I took the Century because it was in a little better shape and has more room inside. It still has some cosmetic damage but only a couple dents in the lower left of the bumper. No glue on this one!
