Some panhandlers making $400 a day: police

And some people wonder why I don't hand out cash to people.

 

I think I have been duped by some good stories!

 

I remember I was in Monterey, CA at least 10 years back and watched as a young guy got out of a BMW, walked around the corner and sat down and started begging. Back then I was told kids in the area were doing it for "fun."

Hmmmm......


Makes you wonder.

 

I don't either. I work too hard for my money.

 

There was a guy ran off from TA East in Ontario, Ca. several years back because he would beg from truck to truck then go out to the parking lot and leave in his Mercedes.

Oh yeah, all that nice tax free money!

I have on occasion given money to panhandlers. Wonder how many of them were actually like these folks.

OTOH, I've been more inclined to put gas in somebody's car, or buy them a meal, than to give them cash. . .

Shoot, if things keep goin' the way they are now, I may be the one out there on the corner doin' the panhandling.

 

Amen there big don. I have given to people also. If I was taken oh well, if I wasn't then I gave someone a ray of hope maybe.

Those scam artist's tick me off plenty too. I try not to give any $ to people but sometimes I get this feeling that this person isn't scamming.
