Ure right, its a business, and of course the bottom line is the money, where ever u own out right or lease,I suppose ,if dont have a good business model r plan, with saving some capital, for the repairs r the slim weeks, u go into negative figures,
In all businesses u have up and downs in cash flow,
It seems if u are able to move r change companies that would be the best type
Of lease then, maybe I will chex in to
Quality lease co. That is where u lease ure tractor right?

Nothing against you, I do know that it can work, I do also is aware that a lot driver do not make it, I want everyone to know that there is hope if one does is are home work, so it's nothing serious to be up in harm's about, it's not easy but can be done, and remember learning is the key to life out here, most of these guys only thing about it my truck, and I can do what ever I want, stay in the truck stop for days and days, shining the truck, but at the end of the week blame the company, so it's not a game, and too many of us is not ready for this, there four more and more will not make it,

I lease at Prime, and despite the bad rap a lot of people give them, I like it pretty well. One common misconception about leasing at Prime is that all of our leases are lease purchase. Many are, but there are a bunch of lease ops at Prime that lease without any intention of keeping the truck. Those leases are basically equivalent to Ryder or Paclease, and you don't pay as much per week because you turn the truck in at the end. If you finish the lease and turn in the truck, you get a nice check as a partial refund for your lease payments. I'm not in favor of lease purchasing, but I find that the rental-style leases aren't too bad as a way to get into running your own business. I specifically got a short (18 month) lease instead of the standard 3 year lease so that I can finish it sooner and use the lease payout as the down payment on a truck at a 3rd party dealer. I'm learning way more about the business side of things than I ever would as a company driver, and if things go wrong, I can turn the truck in and walk away from the lease with minimal losses compared to the huge problems that would come with having a financed truck repossessed. My lease payments are far more than the note payments would be on a financed truck, but I think the ability to walk away without a huge hit to my credit is a worthwhile investment for the first year and a half as I'm learning to manage my business. I'm sure there are plenty of people who would love to call me a moron, but I'm happy with the path I'm on, and I'm making decent money to boot. Two final notes for anyone who is considering going lease: carefully read EVERY WORD of any contract you sign and have money saved and sitting in the bank for when tough times hit. They will happen, and money in the bank makes it much easier to get through the bad times without going under. If you read your contracts with a critical eye, work hard, make an effort to learn all you can at all times, and start out with at least $8-$10k saved up, I think leasing can be a great way to break into owning your own business.
