I'm just super impressed by the home time. Sure you're not making money sitting but you're not getting burned out as well. You leave home fresh and ready to rock.

Dryvan?

Yes their home time is actually what brought me on. It's just sugar on the cookie that they also seem to pay more than any other company for a newbie starting out with zero experience.

Driver facing cameras? Ten speeds?

Looks like I'm out of the hiring area. I'm in Eastern PA. I'm working on getting my cdl back anyway. Maybe I'll try Prime. 62 mph sucks but you gotta do what you gotta do.

Ozark Motor Lines | Hiring Drivers Now
Out of training you'll get an older truck with a 10 speed. After you prove yourself for a few months you'll get one of the newer automatics. Eventually this won't be true, they're phasing out all the 10 speeds.
They do have driver facing cameras. Most companies do. I've never had an issue with it. My truck does 69mph. I blow the doors off of Prime trucks daily.Last edited by a moderator: Jul 10, 2018

What is Ozarks Pet policy? And it is true most of their freight and operating area is within 200 miles of Memphis?
-
And no, we go from Dallas to New Jersey. You might go THROUGH Memphis often, but we go everywhere. Considering our biggest customer is FedEx and our most frequently used stops for FedEx are Dallas and Ft Worth, Indianapolis, Chicago and Atlanta, all of those are 400 plus miles from Memphis. We also have a truck or two coming out of Milwaukee, WI to Memphis. That's over 600 miles. I'd like to know where you heard that most of our freight is within 200 miles of Memphis. I've actually only gone to ONE consignee that was under 200 miles from Memphis, leaving from the yard in Memphis to go there.Last edited: Jul 14, 2018

Well what I told you is the trucking truth directly from a driver for the company.
I've done many 2 week outings where the only time I saw Memphis was the day before I went home they usually can only get me home with a FedEx load or paper load down to Louisiana from the Memphis yard.Metallica88 Thanks this.
