Well there is no reason given why this former truck driver cant find a job....so it is kinda slanted to use that one quote from the article. Not saying there are NOT more homeless people out there, and there will be more eveyday I am sure.
Maybe this former driver has a drug/alcohol problem, got his license jerked for a wreck, who knows the reason he is unemployed...the article certainly didnt say. -
It's all about the headlines

Get their attention, make them want to read the story.
Since it didn't work on the story stating that unemployed driver numbers have doubled in the last 12 months....maybe it did this time.
The story isn't about the driver. It's about the economy.Dingokid Thanks this. -
ahh, but it IS about "the" driver. if ya gotta job, no matter how crappy it seems, KEEP IT!!! hold on tight!!!

Nice balanced view guys, we here in the land of OZ have a 30 minute shows on commercial free to air TV which pick a topic and sensationalize it, you know the type tape an interview for 20 minutes but cut it down to 3 minutes, spliced to get 'Their point across" and behold on a slow news week they drag out and dust of things like "Killer Trucks on our roads" or " Big Rig road rage" or another classic " You are sharing the road with drugged up truck divers " in conclusion at one road blockage 540 drivers were tested for prohibited drugs only 3 returned positive, wonder if they'll do a story on that ?????????????????

Same thing here. I feel like a sailor at sea... Water Water everywhere, and not a drop to drink or spare.
It can take days, if not weeks. To get the real story behind a 3 minute soundbite. Or hours diggin on the net.Dingokid Thanks this.
