    This is true, But you know that won't matter in court. A jury will assign fault based on the elaborate picture a lawyer paints, of a driver improperly doing his job.

    I wonder how many people I ran over. Some places I'll drive up to the fuel isle to do a quick pretrip, sometimes I don't feel safe walking around the truck parked in the back in the dark.

    Maybe the driver was just planning on moving the truck/trailer on the property, in which case he's not going to have to pretrip or even go to the driving line.
