Not necessarily true. I run a long hood W9L (w/ a MBN 525hp C15) and pull a 53' spread cattle pot 99.99% of the time. On the rare occasion I do pull the dry van, my mileage is ALWAYS worse. ALWAYS. I run mostly local now, but I virtually never shut the truck off when loading/unloading the bullrack. I can typically load faster than the cool off time for the turbo and engine (and usually more loads in the day than the van, so less wear on the starter). The van, depends. Usually takes a lot longer, so I shut it off.

From all of the guys I've ever talked to and talked about mileage, the 379 is nearly always worse than my W9, by about .5-1.5mpg. I get 5.5-6 runnig long haul, and have to stay close to 70 to get it. Run much below 65, and I usually loose 1mpg. Just have to keep the engine in its "sweet spot".

From what I've heard, the guys running the Pitts box tends to do .5mpg better than a truck not equipped with one.

I have a local shop that does some work for me I really don't want to put them out, if you know what I mean, I don't know how a mail program would work, because you have to calibrate the timming, on the engine with the ecm. Would be a problem with the warranty if you took it to a regular cat shop to have it calibrated. I only had $1200 with everything, and that was keeping my other ecm..
