    475 ISX Cummins is what Swift has to but they turn them things down to 410 thats why they lost the Volvo and Freightliner contract i guess!!

    i drive a 06 pete with the same motor. it pulls to 1900 rpm's. speed cut out is 70 mph. what rpm's does your motor pull to? i also let it lug down to 1600 rpm's and then down shift. i dont have a pyrometer so i dont know where the turbo is getting hot?

    The isx engines are made to lug down to 1250 rpm's they are built to make max pulling power down low not up that high in the rpm range.

    ours are spec'd out for low torque so we can pull down to 1100 and up to about 1600, ours are governed at 65. But she pulls awesome up the hills.
