Anyone seeing pay raises from their company?

The company I left a year ago to go to linehaul upped their pay to $.45 cpm and $.50 for placarded hazmat loads. Was making $.42 when I left.

 

That's pretty exciting. Lol.

 

Would have been for me, I primarily hauled placarded hazmat loads because the drivers there were either too lazy to get hazmat or too chicken ####. So I’d always immediately go pick up loads while they’d sit and wait for the company to find them something they could legally haul. The long-haul hazmat routes out to the west coast were the best runs in the company anyway, easy drops and beautiful, secluded countryside while the others delivered Domino’s Pizza loads into L.A., Phoenix, or the Bay Area and sat in the dock or in traffic half the day

 

50cpm for haz is a joke.

 

I’m no longer there for several reasons lol. Elogs and hauling produce being #1. No thanks...

 

I’ve gotten 3 raises in the last six months totaling .08 cpm, the company has said If the economy keeps chugging along it probably won’t be our last increase.

 

I get $50 for clean DOT inspection. Think I need to raise it to $100.

 

I'm pretty sure I know which company your talking about. Starts with an "A" and is next door to a fireworks store. I work there and we're in the process of getting another raise right now.

 

Company did an across the board raise and finally made the switch to using practical miles. Waiting on every thing to balance to see if its worth it knowing i topped out in 2 years pay wise.
