At least he kept it upright and didn’t kill anyone. I’d call that a double win for fedex.

It says they had to cut the brakes off???? Took 5 hrs to get the brakes released. Hmmm....
blairandgretchen and Mike2633 Thank this. -
Probably a malfunction with the air compressor.
-
Does it really matter what the malfunction is? Drag it to the shoulder to get one lane at least open. Then cage the brakes and tow it to a shop or impound yard....
Bwbibb, allniter, Bud A. and 1 other person Thank this. -
Brakes locked up when he was driving off road? No, that's not the compressor, that sounds like he ripped an airline off.
blairandgretchen Thanks this. -

Of course if it was several miles to an exit or end of the zone ok....
I still like Ohio's solution. Back when they were redoing 75 south of Toledo a few years back it seemed like every month the freeway shut down for a wreck. Troopers would have the construction guys over and use a front loader to push it off the freeway to get it back open.blairandgretchen and line Thank this. -
Singling out a trucking company is just lame. FedEx ground has a lot of units, I think around 75,000. The numbers alone dictate probability of seeing something sketchy with one of their contractors . One of my favorite videos is the Fed ex driver on Donner Pass ice-skating all the way down without wrecking

And given the company’s recent history in the past few years their trucks have a habit of wrecking in construction zones.line Thanks this.
