I don't know what you decided to do but if it were me...

As long as you can deal with it being a day cab, find a nice set of air ride Rears that are the right ratio and change it over and enjoy that truck.

Why buy something if you know what you have? And that's a really cool truck to have.

Yeah I've decided to just keep it the way it is for now ,I'm going to finish the busy season as a dump truck and then take the box off this fall and probably add a sleeper ,maybe a small flat top and then I'm going to just drive it. The AC works and I've put over 50 thousand miles on it in the last year as a day cab and I've ran a day cab for the last 20 years. I built a little desktop for the passenger seat and I put my dog's bed on it sideways so he's wedged between the dashboard and passenger seat since last summer. And we just stay in motels. So I think it's going to work out fine because I've gone through this truck and everything is working and functioning properly. I've been looking for trucks for the last couple years in the truck paper and you can tell that they are just somebody's Money Pit that they wanted out of. This 86 is cleaner than everything I've seen for sale lately so I'm just going to Keep On Rocking the Ivory steering wheel
