Geeze... I remember when the '91 was a new truck! I think at that time, though, I was driving an 87 379 Pete.

haha yeah i thought i was gonna get a response like that!! See im new and pretty young im only 23 so im used to computerized stuff im not worried to much about this truck just wanna know really if there is anything to watch out for and pay extra close attention too it has a N-14 Cummins and a 13 speed in it!!-Punisher-

Well, to be honest, I liked the N-14, although, when I drove one, it had a 15 behind it. I highly doubt it will have ABS.
Wait, you said "almost a classic". What does that make the '79 W900A I used to drive?
Or the '63 B Model Mack, although that was just a water truck that had been retired from a mixer.Punisher1985 Thanks this. -
I drove a '90 W900L for about six months. It was a truck that didn't suit my temperment. Nothing wrong with it, just less visibility and turning radius than I like. Also was bright purple with straight pipes, never again! Nothing of note to look out for as they were darn well built. It is a truck that is nearly two decades old though and that brings some things to mind. Keep an eye out for water leaks around the sleeper joint and windows. Squeaks and rattles are bound to happen but can be lessened with the purchase of a screw driver and some small rubber donut washers. Keep an eye on the vent and defrost duct hoses, for some reason I remember fighting with them periodically.
The ride is good, some set-ups are better than others. I didn't like the double donut KW system that was around then, but that is personal preference. I doubt like heck it will have ABS. Remember the fenders, that hood is out there a mile! It'll have the aerodynamics and turning radius of your average Cathederal (w/ double bunk sleeper like I drove anyhow), but the look cool as all get out. Refuse to drive one with straight pipes, cool factor is high but the noise is ridiculous.Punisher1985 Thanks this. -
I meant as in Collector lke when a car is 20 you can get Collector plates here in WI!! LOL the ones you drove ARE classics now
