When I started hauling cars many many years ago it was in a 1 ton dodge 3 car trailer under 26k gvwr and i stayed in that setup for 4 months. You will NOT succeed in that setup. I was the owner and the driver and couldn’t make it profitable. Take our advise. Don’t do it. Not because we’re all scared of another 3 car trailer on the road, I personally don’t care, but when we’re asked and we give our advise based on our years of experience and it’s tossed to the curb...well you get the point.

Even the ultra light only goes up to 14k GVWR. No matter what, there is no way to legally pull three cars on there unless all three are those tiny smart carsStrokerTSi Thanks this. -
As long as you don't exceed 12k lbs on the trailer axles, (or whatever it's stickered for) & the 26k lbs GCVWR you tagged the rig for, or exceed any of the pickup trucks axle ratings, where is the issue..?
I'm currently still pulling a 40' hotshot with a pair of 12k axles, & it's only stickered by mfg for 24k lbs.. Its a 29k lb trailer that's been downgraded to save FET, similarly to the way the Take 3 can be ordered.. It weighs about 10k lbs empty. I routinely load over 14k lbs on it, 17k-19k lbs if correctly distributed. As long as I don't exceed the trailer axle ratings, I've never had a problem during inspection. They can do math I assume, & always look at the bol's which have the products weight listed.. Dot or statey's have never said anything about my trailer being overloaded.. -

Hello all this is really good information.
Getting your DOT or MC is that similar to having your own authority?? -
MC is authority. DOT & MC is needed for interstate operation as a for hire carrier. Transporting someone else's property..
