Stupid truckdriver

This REALLY happened
The following is MY version of events and the conversation, as I remember it. HIS words are in BLUE, mine are in RED.

I was waiting at a shipper in Hodgkins IL to get loaded Tuesday evening. I was backed up to the dock and in the bunk rattling away on my laptop keyboard in the POLITICAL Section of this forum.
My trailer rocked forward and back and I thought to myself: Good, they are FINALLY loading me.
But the gentle forward and back motion soon got pretty violent and began a side-to-side motion and I heard an awful scraping on the drivers side of my truck.
So, I jump up to the driver's seat and see a truck pulling out next to me with his trailer door about 3 inches from my window and just about to take the driver side mirror off.
I jump out, thinking this driver is going to drive off after hitting my truck and run up to his window.
THIS is the conversation we had (HIM in BLUE, ME in RED):
HEY, you hit my truck!
No, I didn't.
Yes you did, I felt it and saw it.
No I didn't.
Did you bother to get out and look?
(no answer)
Why don't you come look.
(no answer)
NOW!
He gets out (finally) and demands to see where he hit me saying:
You felt your trailer being loaded
I get out my flash light (almost DEAD batteries) and the light isn't bright enough to see anything.
I don't see where I hit you!
I want to see your Insurance, License and registration.
Why?
In case there IS damage, I don't have to pay for it.
(no response)
I want to see your license, insurance and registration
(no response)
Either show me your license, registration and insurance or I'm calling the cops.
(he goes gets his paperwork)
Here....WHAT ARE YOU DOING???
I am making copies to turn into my boss.

What does that have to do with you backing into my truck?

I am registered, I could kick your ### if I wanted to.
Am I supposed to be scared or impressed?
I just wanted you to know.
I have taken ###-whoppins before and I am not afraid to get another one. Besides, I fail to see what that has to do with you backing into my truck
Things went downhill from there when I discovered his license was expired, he didn't provide me the registration for the truck and he refused to cooperate any further. So I had to call the cops.
And HE had the huevos to call ME #######.

Cops shined his light on the side of my truck and there WAS damage after all.

 

Neither Swift OR JB. Small carrier out of Belleview IL. Probably only 6 trucks, since that tractor was 15 years old. REAL POS tractor.

 

The COP told him if he didn't shut his mouth, he was going to jail and they were going to impound his truck. I HOPED he would have said something after that.
There comes a time when you just can't handle such a simple thing without involving the Police. I don't think the cop was too happy about having to get out of his warm cruiser.

 

That is basically what I told him. But I am old enough to know better than "start" it, finish it sure, but not start it.
