I think what he is saying is freight has dried up,...If the guys with connections that have been successful in the past are failing,....How do these bright eyed newbies think they will make it!!!,...

Wake up people,...Trucking isn't sunshine and roses,.....Try as hard as you like to make the numbers work,..They don't,...not right now anyway..

If ya'll want to go ahead and risk everything in a failing industry,..Go ahead...

You missed the point. The point is, there is very little money to be made out here, after you take into consideration the fuel and operating costs in our current economic situation.

And, my post was not directed at you Pharm, it was meant for Emo. You just gave me an intro. And trust me, if the same numbers were there with my own authority, I would not be a lease op presently, and I would not be here saying what I am saying. I would be working!

Thank you SIR! And I mean that. It really sucks out here right now. I just got rehired at Jones Motors, at least I can broker my own freight. And hopefully can sell my rig if things don't come back. Like Barnum said, an arse for every seat!

I hate to keep jumping in with a negative attitude,.But I hate to see others face what I am,...He77 I'm 34 with a spotless cdl, Haz/tank/doubles-triples,..And right around 1 million accident free miles...I lost everything trying trying to hang on to my business,..And now I struggle to find a seat as a company driver,....

Trying to avoid that company driver gig at all costs. My only saving grace is the fact that my tractor and trailer are paid for.

But I know what you mean. If you would have told me I would be sitting here, where I am today, I would have called the old classic.... Bull Sh-t!

Time to open a Dollar Store!

Anyone want to buy a truck, Emo? Anyone?
