Simple answer is no and yes. It kind of depends on your insurance company a little, then you have dot and their csa record keeping activity. So it’s in your best interest to keep the little things tidy, no air leaks, brakes in adjustment, thick enough brake shoes, lights working and what not. Compared to a company like LS where there are age requirements on the equipment.
You can however, run whatever type shape equipment until your time is up with the FMCSA/dot, which seems like what some do out here.

Not sure what else you’re refering to, but as it pertains to this post....is it demonizing if it’s true?727Guy Thanks this.

Exactly my point. I wasn't aiming to anger this person's nationality nor bash any ethnicity. I had a question, I asked, and I provided where it was mostly seen at. But I think what's most important is that racial conflict is best kept out of professional forums.

Don't worry about it man. Immigrants, particularly certain groups catch a lot of flack out here in this country. Some get here legally, some don't. To me it don't matter as long as they aren't hurting nobody......that said, regardless of race, the image of equipment is everything. It has to be clean and look well maintained. It's dirty trucks and pieces falling off that make DOT want to take a closer look at a driver. Trucks that look like they have been mudding is just unacceptable727Guy Thanks this.
