No it's not like that at any large company … but it is pretty much baked into the culture at Schneider. Dealt with it when I did business with a wholly owned non trucking subsidiary of Schneider back in '87.

That sucks. I guess I’m lucky. I had taken 30days off several times, at least twice a year. Never had a problem. my ICA would email me and notify that I’m almost 30days out. I’m glad you got things cleared up.

Yeah, they called me last Monday and asked when I was going back to work and I told them Monday the 6th. They actually said it was a mistake that I was taken out of the system and it took them a few hours to get me back in.

Anyways, lost my loads but booked a couple of new ones. Booked through Sunday but my revenue isn't going to be very great. Tractor Supply in Casa Grande, AZ was/is running behind so every load listed that doesn't have a window and instead has a single delivery time isn't a good load. So that narrowed my choices of good paying loads down to a very small list.

30 days is safe, anything beyond that and you have to go through a slight rehire process including a driving test. I think it's kind of crazy myself.

I have taken about 45 days off. The only thing I had to was a return to work. Go out with a TE. I just set my NAT and never had a problem. I do this about every year for the past 7 yrs.

So were you ever able to get back in to the Schneider OC and get to your truck. Did Schneider let you go or let you come back?
