I have my own authority and I get really good loads that go only 500 mile trips.
-
Maybe you should recalculate, unless you mean fuel only. I am paying for fuel 44c a mile for the last 50K miles, staying in the Midwest. Without truck payments (only trailer) the very operational cost, not including my pay, is 94c a mile.
-
I don't have to recalculate. Pay your plates, ifta and insurance all up front for the entire year and the only thing you will have coming out each week is truck payment, fuel, small maintenance fee, and pay yourself which averages out to be roughly .40cpm. I dont have to run 4000 miles a week to make a fortune.
-
Hmmmmmm.....40 cents mile means you're paying $2.89 or less for fuel. That's not possible running north of the Ohio River. You must only run the south....but that would only seem to cover fuel alone though.....
-
How do you pay IFTA up front?86scotty Thanks this.
-
I'm talking about the decals and plates. You cant make ifta fuel tax up front. I get back money every quarter, so I dont ever have to pay.
-
So you started a business with no business plan and now you want others to show you how to do it. ... Good luck.
And yeah I do ask for $100 a mile. There's places I don't want to go and loads I don't want to haul ... But, I do have price that I will do it and a $100 is about it.Tug Toy Thanks this. -
Oh ok. I knew you couldn't pay IFTA up front. You just put it in the same sentencetalking about what's paid up front

Let them haul cheap freight, I still want to buy cheap crap from Wally world too. They will be weeded out by the time a new wave of newbies (or refugees) hits the streets.
