What year models have the 2350?
-
Would I just be better off finding a 3.55?
-
Not really. You have to look at a combination of the transmission over all ratios (the internal ratios) and the direct and overdrive final ratios in combination with the rear end ratios. Drive tires also play into this 22.5 or 24.5
This will decide the RPM at speed. Now the torque and Horsepower play into the pull of it.Last edited: Aug 12, 2018

as far as I know 2014 and up . The label on engine shows CM2350. This engine have updated fuel pump but you will need to change plungers and follower every 300-400k miles. its not expensive. It burns little more fuel compared to DD15 but you will have less headache. BEFORE BUYING IT ASK THEM TO OPEN VALVE COVER AND YOU INSPECT CAMSHAFT FOR EXSSESIVE WEAR. If that engine was on 30-50k oil changes you will see marks on camshaft lobes. DD15 aftertreatment sucks. it's bad designed and ####en expensive to repair however mechanical part of engine is not bad.Dave_in_AZ and Dadetrucking305 Thank this.

Found a local guy who has a 2010 PETE with a 2007 CAT swap in it.13 speed,3.53 gear ratio.Would that make it emissions exempt or will it still fall under the emissions guidelines because of the truck year?
