Another LTL is Reddaway, they have openings in PHX. Antiquated equipment, lower pay, they are a YRC sub., but if you wanted an easy entry point that would pay you to look around, Local City Driver would put you in the right place pretty easily. They also pay all benefits.
If you want something different, there's a lot of bulk and also mining out in the boonies in all directions. One thing to consider here is the variety of climates available, altitude changes lots of things. When I ran bulk I hit most of the corners, there's stuff everywhere.
Those mining haul trucks look like fun, Morenci was taking apps not long ago, although they're hiring to a waiting list. Another thing that's "hot" here is acid hauling, several competing companies running sulphuric from Globe to Morenci, and Globe to Bagdad. That's a $1400 5-day week, but spending time each day taped up in a suit, thus the hot part.

You could be a scheduler. Setting up lonely housewives for appointments with a certain driver soon to own a brand new white Volvo. Easy money.
Dave_in_AZ Thanks this. -
DC Logistics. Small LTL company. They deliver to us and I know they have been hiring drivers. All the drivers that come to us seem happy.

I hauled fuel for a while and they pay $20+ an hour but they’ll almost always start you on nights working weekends with two consecutive days off. You can make $1000 plus a week, good benefits, etc.
Western Refining, Synergy, Pro, Diamond...
My aunt used to haul milk out here and she loved it...pay is about $215 or so a day...
