Another truck stop removes sit down restaurant

There is one up in the upper northeast I love to go to, I forgot the name of it but it is a dive with great food. It seemed to be a throwback from the early 70's.

There is Shoemakers in Lincoln Nebraska too which I loved to go to.

 

Shoemaker is now a Pilot. But the dinner is the same.

I just went to a dinner next to the Lebbenon, Ohio pilot or J, I forget. It's pretty good and independent called the country kitchen. Good prices also.

 

How long ago did pilot take them over? I havent stopped there in years. I'd have to guess the restaurant prices will go up and quality with go way down like what happened to the Grandma Max restaurants when bosslemans was taken by pilot.

 

A few months now.
Also if you ever ate at that good dinner in Laurel, MT. That is now a TA, no dinner now if I remember.
And the nice place in Missoula, MT on exit 96 then south is now a TA with a country pride.

 

Shoemakers is nothing like it used to be years ago. They had a family feud and the original restaurant sucks now. All the antiques are gone too.

 

Really?

That sucks. I enjoyed it and it was on the list of places to bring my wife to when we can finally travel again.
