Hey guys. Posting for an uncle. He's got a truck and a couple step decks and such. He's familiar with the industry. He hauls work over rigs and various equipment all over between texas Colorado and north Dakota. Anyway he's wanting to know what the rates are for hauling sandboxes with a step deck or power only pulling sandboxes and sandbox trailer. We appreciate any info you guys can provide.

The only company I see in North Dakota really running step decks in liberty Frac which has same type boxes as prop x.
See a few arrows up on step decks but see a lot more chassis now. Prop x as well is starting to have the chassis
As far as if you can buy the arrows up or prop x chassis I don’t know. Halliburton Sand box chassis you can’t buy, only get from Halliburton to use
Rates depend on who you hook up with who has a direct MSA on rates. I get the rates when I run sandbox and I see $670.41 on 98 miles -
We're not opposed to just doing power only. Is there a big difference in the rates?
-
Difference on rates depends on who has the MSA. Some bid low to get more loads while others bid higher and get less loads. They basically get the loads the lower bidding carriers can’t handle
-
As far as getting your own MSA that I don’t know but up in ND I see a lot of one truck owner ops pulling liberty frac boxes. Liberty might like only dealing with the little guy

Is Sandbox the wave of the future? Will they make pneumatic and belly dump obsolete?
-

OSHA has lowered the standards to how much silica dust a worker can be exposed to over time. Pneumatic is obsolete because there is no way it can meet the standards
A truck running 24 hours a day 7 days will get 4 lloads a day average. Some days more some less depends on the well. If their are no hang ups and the Frac crew can keep it hummin 21 loads a week easy. If the well is giving problems or it’s a week they need to change wellheads 10 loads. -
Check out the company Jolt. They haul for frac tech and based out of Fort Worth Tx but haul sand boxes on step decks in west Tx. Don’t know the pay but they do have lots of work.
cprems Thanks this.
