Where to buy a used forklift

I know there is a wealth of information on this board, I am looking for a 6-8K triple mast forklift with pneumatic tires. I have looked on ebay, Craigs list etc, RB has some at auction but, the asking prices seem rather steep?

I am looking at mid 2000's nothing brand new or really old. I have two older Hysters and a Clark, the newer lifts are too expensive and from what I read as problematic as newer cars. The older stuff is generally wore out and then some. Midwest is ideal would consider either coast for the rig deal.

I am starting to watch Purple Wave, Auction Time, Richie Bros etc, I got my little Clark off PW a few years ago. There is not much in the local area, warehouse forklifts but not many that can handle gravel.

A skid steer would be fun, not too practical for my needs. My current forklift fleet is height challenged they all top out around 10 feet. I have some 16' pallet racking I would like to use, the shop is all concrete but my yard is slag and hard tires just slip. The 6-8K range of forklifts are what I need.

The yard is pretty flat and smooth just a bit slippery for hard tires

 

No, I have a 24K Hyster, it's big but still maneuvers like a forklift, telehandlers are like a bull in a china shop inside. Here is a size comparison my 7K Hyster and 24K.
