I know there is a wealth of information on this board, I am looking for a 6-8K triple mast forklift with pneumatic tires. I have looked on ebay, Craigs list etc, RB has some at auction but, the asking prices seem rather steep?
I am looking at mid 2000's nothing brand new or really old. I have two older Hysters and a Clark, the newer lifts are too expensive and from what I read as problematic as newer cars. The older stuff is generally wore out and then some. Midwest is ideal would consider either coast for the rig deal.

Go to your local gas station or market. They have those free equipment trade magazines similar to the auto trader magazines. They have forklifts for sale in those that will be in your area...Midwest Trucker Thanks this.

check all the major makers of lift equipment, on their websites, for dealer locations. they rent/lease those things out, and have sales as well of used lifts.
also try construction rental companies, they sell thier used stuff as well. -
Also check Purplewave.com, They are an auction company with lots of construction equipment on sale.buddyd157 Thanks this.

I am starting to watch Purple Wave, Auction Time, Richie Bros etc, I got my little Clark off PW a few years ago. There is not much in the local area, warehouse forklifts but not many that can handle gravel.

How heavy are you lifting? We have a skid steer with forks. That thing works great for all kinds of lifting up to about 10’.
Then you can put a bucket on it and use it for other things.
Might cost a couple extra bucks but way better in the gravel and dirt. -
A skid steer would be fun, not too practical for my needs. My current forklift fleet is height challenged they all top out around 10 feet. I have some 16' pallet racking I would like to use, the shop is all concrete but my yard is slag and hard tires just slip. The 6-8K range of forklifts are what I need.
The yard is pretty flat and smooth just a bit slippery for hard tiresTug Toy Thanks this. -
A Lull-type maybe?
-
No, I have a 24K Hyster, it's big but still maneuvers like a forklift, telehandlers are like a bull in a china shop inside. Here is a size comparison my 7K Hyster and 24K.

What about a Lull Forklift. They are great off-road.
