If they want to protect something put a #### steel bollard in the ground in front of what ever they are trying to protect... Then a driver could see it in the ground and know its out away from the wall. The way that is made you really can't tell it sticks out from the wall when viewing it in the mirror. But I did back into it so it is my fault... After I got onto the dock I called up the company shop boss and reported it to him and sent him pictures, taking full responsibility for it.
Had my first "incident" today.

It could have happened on the moon and it still would be an "incident" to your company. DAC isn't about safety. It's about control over drivers and eroding drivers' economic power and prospects. Make a note of this DACcident. Remember when it happened, and what exactly happened. Get a copy of your DAC report in about 2 months and see if it's on there. 90% chance it will be. You'll need to keep track of it for the next three years. It'll follow you around that long. You'll need to list it on every application you put out there for that three years if it shows up on your report, as your new prospective companies will probably check your DAC when you apply. If it is on there and you leave it off, they'll claim you're lying and won't hire you. Unless, of course, you're applying with an outfit that doesn't care to check your DAC. But most of those aren't worth working for. You want to move UP. Not sideways and definitely NOT backwards.

Desolee. You shouldn't worry about your company, but Canada will probably ban you for life if you try to enter their border again. This is perhaps an indictable offense. xD

That's hilarious. I've scraped at least 5 trailers backing at DG drop yard. Didn't report anything of course.

Well according to my company, the other drivers company didn't want anything to do with the minor mirror scuff so they dropped it completely. Since we don't have DAC report in Canada, nothing on that. Nothing going on my driver's license or my commercial vehicle operators record.
According to the safety Dept guy it's like nothing ever happened. However it did go in my company file of whoopsies. If I apply to another company they won't even see it.
Thank god for not having DAC in canada
