That's a w980 not 990. And they said they are not replacing it. I personally don't know. I wouldn't be surprised if they did. I personally don't care for the looks of the L model. The A's and B's looked much better. The 980 would look much better with external breathers.

What about the other models? KW makes more B cab models than just the T800 and W900. C500, T170-470 and the T440.spyder7723 and PeteM Thank this.

900a remake, get rid of the sloped hood and make it aluminum like a truck should be, I'd like one of those.Zeviander Thanks this.

I’m not familiar with those models, I never ask about them. Usually just talk about class 8 trucks, only ones I’m interested in, but I have been told repeatedly that the B cab will eventually be discontinued.

I doubt it how many w9s were sold for 2018, and I'm guessing pete sells a lot more. I can see them making the cab wider on them maybe, or making them a glider only type thing if emissions is why they need a wider cab.

It doesn’t deserve to wear the Seminole scheme!shogun and Rubber duck kw Thank this.

There could be another reason.
It is possible that Paccar wants to go to 1 cabplatform worldwide.
Pete and KW cabs in the USA/Canada/Mexico,replace the KW in Australia and Daf in Europe.
KW in Australia will have new emissions in the next years and Daf has to build a new cab too to meet new new regs coming somewhere around '22.x1Heavy Thanks this. -
C500 is a class 8 on roids.spyder7723, Zeviander and Bean Jr. Thank this.

Kenworth was one of the first plastic trucks. They have been since the 900 series was introduced in the late 50s.

Isn't replacing the same as discontinuing?spyder7723 Thanks this.
