Is this normal? Living in truck, no parking, no truck stops.

We all understand the California parking situation.
I asked which tank wash you were talking about? -
That reminds of the movie "Oceans 13 " when this heath inspector is staying in the new Casino and Ocean had the room deliberately contaminated and the inspector gets out some device and lights up the room it was just crawling with all sorts of bugs.x1Heavy Thanks this.

I am not current on the newer films, I stopped watching movies some time back within a certain time frame. But I can imagine.
UV Blacklight causes a visual interaction with room lights off and in dark. Whatever body fluids etc are on anything it will glow back at you. -
if you're in LA and a Schneider driver you can use the intermodal OC, 329 Durfee Ave, South El Monte, CA 91733, secure parking and very clean bathroom, i don't remember a shower but i bet there is one somewhere in there. thats where i would spend the night usually if i had a trailer. if i was waiting on a load and bobtail i'd park behind the South Gate Quala in that other companies bobtail parking area. that's why i like pumpkin land, they have an enormous support base between van+intermodal+bulk, and they're all available to utilize no matter what you're pulling.
TheTruckersWife and gentleroger Thank this. -
the Schneider bulk tractor has that "certified clean idle" sticker on it. that sticker, plus the fact that you're in the truck while it's running for air conditioning (life preservation), is the legal justification for idling. the places you would be idling (tank wash, OC) no cops go to a tank wash. they write tickets in truck stops but why would you want to stay there. the only truck stop i would use out there is the tiny one across the street from the closed OC. Once i found the intermodal yard i just drove over there.

intermodal yard, uber to an Air BnB, wash clothes and drink beer in the shower! no rent, no utilities, no problem!

Didn't mean to offend you, but your answers would indicate that you don't understand the area. You used trucker path to show a false picture of the parking situation. And I sincerely doubt you used Hesperia during your two months in la, unless you spent half your hours doing nothing but commuting in and out of the city.
I've lived here for years, just not now...I can sense what is and isn't a realistic picture of this place.Sirscrapntruckalot, gentleroger, x1Heavy and 1 other person Thank this.
