Honestly forgot about the site for oh, 9 months or so. I left IP back in November. guess I didn't have much to talk about after that. Good idea with the former driver thread

 

yea I was still around when you left for LTL . Are you with the same company?
I'm a tanker yanker now for a small outfit by my house. I was home daily but now im usually out M-F for the money. In a day cab though.

 

Got a call out of the blue day before yesterday, from a driver I used to dispatch. Have an opportunity to go back to pulling a bottle, and I am seriously contemplating it. Less money, more home time. Like, every day. And still doing transport, not home delivery. My concern is actually being home daily...lol

I haul milk in Phoenix now. Moved down from SLC in April. I'm home everyday back when you're only home long enough to eat and sleep 6 hours before you have to head back, is it worth it? Not by a long shot. Tanker work sucks horribly here, as do most of the other trucking jobs. Was really surprised how bad it is.

I would be hauling propane again, for a company that's in my town. The yard is 8 miles from my house... Yeah, it's seasonal, but so is my work ethic!
