My experience at holland enterprises

Don’t have to have the endorsement at Holland but it can occasionally lead to some nice loads but in almost 3 years here, I’ve done 5 loads of “liquids” in totes

 

So, I drove regionally in the Northeast and Midwest for 5 years, been behind a desk in Florida for the past 10 months, and now looking to get back on the road. So far been looking at Holland and Sunco. Turned down Carroll Fulmer.

Might make decision on Holland tomorrow.

How/where do y'all park your trucks for multiple days home(if you don't have space at home)?

Are inward facing cameras used? Are they an annoying?

Any advice welcome...don't know what I don't know.

Well, sure enough. I'm just not going to have the hours to deliver the Fresno to CT load as requested on Monday morning. My hours through Monday get me about 60 miles short. I kind of got the impression they didn't [want to] work to hard to try and work out a repower, (perhaps in Joplin was where I was planning on). She said she'll then call the receiver Monday morning and reschedule if no swap happened. I'm working several shorter recap days Sat-Mon is my problem. Knowing this receiver, I won't be empty early enough Tuesday to make the pay cutoff. Last time I sat in their staging lot down the street 3 hours waiting to be called in

They moved the appointment back 24 hours to Tuesday at 9 but I got there at about 07:30, they put me in a door and was unloaded by 08:00 to make the cutoff time. With no carry over from prior, this makes for a 7,500 mile pay period. Loading now in Congers, NY for Mt Sterling, IL. Hope I go west from there and not down to Georgia.

 

They finally sent a fleet message with the updated info for the Transflo app....

Thanks to TTR I have been using it for a while..
It's also nice the messages nearly always come through on the app before the QC.

 

What was your company road test like? How were the right turns? I ask because I have been off the road for a year, so I am out of practice.

 

For me it was pretty easy by my most any standard applied. One right turn near the end. But he’ll know in the first few minutes if you have solid experience or not and may set the course accordingly. Should be like riding a bike.

 

Returning to Holland Enterprises in a couple of weeks... Am I going crazy?
