Just an update, Ive been doing my skills for about a total of two weeks. Went and took my test today and past.

We are allowed to miss a total of 10 points, I got 6. Only had one pullup each on the alley dock and parallel parking. I got one point because i didnt stop within two feet of the stop line and 3 points for my right turn.

The right turn was so much because the school I go to never has us do that, which I find really stupid that they do not.

But I past, and that is what matters. Now I practice for the road.

That's great. Now you can get ready to learn how to drive a truck. I hope you get lucky and end up with a professional trainer so you can be set in the right direction from the start. The chances are slim and depends on what company you end up at so I would recommend that you learn all you can from as many sources you can find. Talk to some of the old timers that have no tickets and are driving the best equipment. You'll want to keep your mouth shut unless it's about the truck and your ears open. But of course you'll want to ask all the questions you can. Keep a notebook and remember there's always more than one way to do things. I'm retired now but I would never say I've learned all there is. I just tried to do better the next day than the one before. Good Luck.

The best advice I have received is to "drive" your trailer, not the truck.

What that essentially means that you want to focus where you want you trailer tandems to go. I am trying to think how to explain this better, but to be honest, it took me a long time to put to practice what was preached to me. I passed the test and then spent quite a long time learning how to really do it.

You say your school never has you doing right turns? Not even when you're driving on the highway? :biggrin_2555:
