Yeah in a way but uber is not a taxi service, it is a ride sharing service and honestly it is a private car owner sharing a ride with someone.
If you want to out it into taxi terms, it would be like yellow/checker/metro cab dealing with blue beacon taxi service which was here for a bit and almost put everyone out of business with their a buck for a ride campaign. Others responded with the same type of program or lowered rates.
In PA, someone is bleeding through on channel 8 from Georgia

I doesn't matter if hes ever "ran dump" or not. CB is a free for all and if someone is going to complain about other transmissions on the same frequency as you on a CB radio, then your argument isn't even a valid one. ANYONE can talk on the CB. I think he's explained this numerous times already. I don't give a #### what people who run dump do or don't do with their CB's. You nor anyone else owns any channel on a CB... good lord...Tensleep440 Thanks this.

In Cam's defense he is talking about one-sided conversations which are illegal -
Seems like a simple rant and a couple of suggestions has blown out of proportion to me.

Any bloke bleeding over onto multiple channels is probably using a screwed-up, souped-up radio or amp with lots of watts. This is not only illegal, but disturbing to most. Any complaint about such inconsiderate people is valid in my book.
Tb0n3, Tensleep440 and Timin770 Thank this. -
That's C.B.radio. There is nothing you can do about other stations, especially from "skipland". The sunspot cycle is on the upswing, and daytime propagation is going to effect how well you can talk locally. If the powers that be in Washington DC had been as forward thinking as our founders were they wouldn't have placed the Citizens Band radio service in the HF portion of the spectrum. Ideally it should be VHF and probably UHF as it is in Australia.
It wouldn't be as much fun, but a radio like a firearm is a tool not a toy.
When you are using a C.B. to conduct business, you're probably using the wrong tool. Commercial radios operating on VHF or UHF are more reliable, and specific.
Illegal amplifiers are too prolific, and there are too many people out there to regulate. The Citizens Band radio service should be renamed the Calamity Band, because that's what it has devolved into. -
I was watching Good Times last night and the teen son was given a hot CB and told to hold onto it. He ended up using and it meeting a girl who called herself fun girl or something. Turns out she was in a wheelchair and misrepresenting herself. Funny how times don't really change, just the method of communication does.

Did you find that episode on YouTube ?
I watch Sanford & Son, Carrol Burnett, and All In The Family there. -
Just curious OP Cam: are you still hearing the aforementioned jackdonkey you spoke of on channel 8? I flip over to 8 but never hear him. Im just north of Atlanta
