Looks like suppressors are pretty easy to get in the 42 states that allow them now .
How to Buy a Silencer

 

My husband uses his legal suppressor for gun training hunting dogs and horses. Eases them into the noise, smells etc of gun fire. There's nothing worse than shooting at a pair of charging wild hogs or javelina and having a 1400lbs horse panic and run you over.

 

Well, I came into this thread with one idea about silencers (a tool for criminals) and am leaving with the opposite opinion. Thanks for the education, folks.
