Starting a new venture. I'm the owner and have 3 drivers. NICO declined my application because I'm not a listed driver. Progressive was $20,000 higher than NICO. What insurance company will write me a policy?

Get on Google and search for commercial vehicle insurance brokers who are licensed in your state. That's how I found mine. Most brokers aren't licensed to sell in every state unless they're with somebody like Progressive, and they aren't writing policies on new ventures at the moment anyway.

    That's a tough one.

New venture, you're not listed as a driver, and you have three trucks to insure.

There are some situations in some states that there is only one insurance company that will insure you.

In my state I called everywhere that I could find and spent hours and hours on the phone.

Every single solitary agent that I spoke to ended up telling me that Progressive was the only company.

Save your money and get ready to be robbed. After all your research (which I honestly recommend) you'll likely be back to Progressive. They are raping me monthly as a new venture and I'm one driver, 45, with a clean record.

Your record and age has less to do with it than the stats of trucking accidents and location of the carrier you own,
