    That's prbly the whole idea. Keep us glued to the tube and that way we won't be thinkin 'bout the real issues.

    I can see that some of you have cable or satellite. But you obviously aren't thinking of two things: one is that the airwaves are supposed to be free (for reception). What's next, charging to listen to HAM radio?
    The other is that the elderly, the poor, and now the many jobless people who would like to have the affordable entertainment can't afford the luxury of cable or whatnot. I'm on an antenna myself, and it's even homemade!

    With the airwaves broadcasting digitally, there are more free channels available to those who don't pay for cable or satellite.
