Because Landstar now has DAT to process new and existing carrier packets, it has caused Landstar not to recognize my tax ID number. So I can not move any shipments because of the DAT process.

Landstar say to contact the IRS to make sure I have my correct tax ID number. I have been in business for almost 10 years and have never had this problem with anyone.

Have you pulled for Landstar before?

    Was it your tax id?

    You get it straightened out?

No. Tax id is your EIN number.
Ever since Landstar started using that DAT app I haven't been able to haul anything for them.

Call Jacksonville and ask them to straighten it out, it's not like you are not in their system, or did they delete you?

I did call Jacksonville. They said I need to contact the IRS to make sure I have a letter from them stating my correct EIN number.

This is how stupid Landstar is. It's like going to the first day on a job and the boss looks at your SSI card(same thing as a EIN) and say's. You can't work here until you show us that is your real SSI(social security number) from the IRS.
I know what my numbers are. Landstar refuses to accept them

WOW! That is stupid. I would call back and work my way up the food chain until you find intelligent life. You are in their system somewhere, and if you were deleted, there must be others in the same boat as yourself with this DAT nonsense. Send them an old 1099 if you have one in your files. I used to get one from them when I had my authority.

    6wheeler Thanks this.
