After week 1 of driving this 2019 auto 12-speed, i’m In love and not even missing my manual. This is much better than the 2017 i had as a temp a while back. Still haven’t been on any significant grades yet.

My muscle memory keeps making me feel like a doofus. Engine break is in a different spot. Hazards are in a different spot. I keep trying to grab my shifter. Will take some time, but I’m honestly not missing the shifter.

 

What is wrong with you young one?

 

Lol and I love driving a 13 and don’t miss the AMT at all. I enjoy the new location for the engine brake now though, even on the manuals it’s on the column.

I’ve done stop and go in Dallas, LA and New York and still enjoy having the manual back...horses for courses I guess, glad you are enjoying the new truck and hope you can get some 9 mpg readings with the updated aero.

 

Imagine having driven 25 years in a manual, then getting in an auto...after 10 months in it, my left leg still twitches a bit when it's time to hit the clutch...and will still wave my right arm looking for the shifter from time to time...

 

Thought you had those twitches and arms flailing around all the time anyhow Glad ya still loving the new gig!
