Thinking of buying a reefer, ive been told to stay away from utility, true?
Should i go with:
Wabash?
Great Dane?
Utility?
48 ft or 53 ft?
slide axel or none?

I pull a reefer, and the company i drive has utility's, IMO they are made very well and i for one would not be afraid to purchase this brand of trl.
-
i prefer the THERMO KING UNIT'S, imo their a tick quieter then the carrier unit's
with a 53' you'll never lose a load cause you dont have a large enough trl. -
This is the order of reefers, great dane, great dane, great dane, utility.
Thermo king, thermo king, thermo king, thermo king.
Stay away from wabash reefers, even though they have come a long way, they are still a pile. -
i pull a dry box, but the dane's we had all sucked. this co i am with now has wabash's i like them much better.
i DON'T KNOW if this has ANY bearing on reefer but my .02 -
No pat it doesn't.
The most disturbing thing is that dana has been closing plants. They are hurting.
We always ran utilities but that was back in the day. Today I would buy a dane -
I always liked the great danes with the thermo king myself.

Thermo king is the only way to go only fleets run carriers. They sound like a freight train coming thru your sleeper

53' a must.. ... Had puled some 48 footers this last year, and it became a pain to be loaded.
