I've already talked to Smith,Mcleod,Krielkamp,Total Transportion,Cheeseman. I've already been to U ##### I mean us xpress. Anyone got any other ideas on where I can call that offer automatics? I hold a SPE certification from the Fed Dot that allows me to drive again. Unfortunalty I've had more than 3 jobs in the past 4 years and a lot of companies are being extremly picky now. please HELP!
What would be perfect is a company with automatic Volvo's but I guess beggers can't be choosers lol.
Thanks guys/gals

Attention employers: We now require a valid DOT# for anyone wishing to post a driving position. If your job offer doesn't contain a DOT number, it will not get past moderation and will not appear in the forum. The other requirements in the sticky at the top of this section are still required as well. Thank you for understanding.

.
You might give Cal Ark a shout. They're currently in a hiring freeze, booking no orientations. But that could change any time. -
May I digress with a comment or two about one-legged race car drivers? Bronco Bill Schindler's right leg had to be amputated after his midget went through the fence at Mineola Fairgrounds, Long Island, NY in 1936. He continued his driving career and almost got Hinnershitz's title in 1951.
Columnist Gary London told a story in this week's National Speedsport News. He remembered an incident at Allentown. During a modified race there was a huge pileup in front of the grandstand. One of the drivers involved was veteran Smokey Dengler who raced with a wooden leg. Smokey had trouble getting out of his car, so he thought it would be easier without the leg. He tossed it out the window causing a long delay to revive the people who fainted in the grandstand.

Two weeks ago up in MINUTE I say a guy driving a green volvo and he was an amputee like yourself. I was fuelingnext to him and I was wondering how he got in. I mean the volvo steps are like a ladder. I was thinking a pete where its more of a step up and in would be much easier.

big g express auto volvos

All PAM are Auto now from what I ahve heard...

Thanks guys for all the feed back. I haven't tried interstate. I just got the application for Big G, CalArk is owned by US Xpress now. I hear ya about getting in and out of the truck. Climbing ladders is actualy quiet easy as an amputee besides I know enough that there is NO comparison in the way a Pete VS a Volvo ride. A "Comapany Pete" is an over priced Freightshaker! Not to get confused with an O/O style Pete! Although I understand that beggers can't be choosers till I get enough mone up to get my own truck LOL right?
I have a friend who is an amputee that drives for TransAM he said I'd never be confortable in a KW. that I would never be able to either see over the dash and reach the pedals at the same time LOL
