No doubt. I have never understood how a company can go ahead and change something that is working well to begin with.

Yeah things started out real good with them and then went to heck in a hand basket after hittin my 60,000. It took me 5 and half months to get 60 and then 4 months later I still didn't have my 90,000 yo udo the math. I was never late, no accidents, no tickets and never refused a load. I'm still trying to figure out what I did wrong to get shafted the way they did me.

And the old owner of Continental is being investigated about 800,000 some odd dollars.

Last I heard he was in jail looking at some serious time. They did alot of bad things to their lease owners.

Was it just your miles or were there others having the problem?
I know the average miles for me in the last quarter per week came to 1107. I don't miss them at all. Not drawing a paycheck is better than dealing with the crap away from home. -
It wasn't and still isn't just me. they are doing it to everybody. I was maybe getting 1000 to 1200 miles and having to fight for that. They were doing it to almost everybody. Yeah there are some that were still doing good but it really was only 5-10% of the fleet that were getting the miles.

Well if you have a crystal ball maybe, just maybe you may be right.. Look, this is not 1959, its 2009. Meaning as we have all experienced.. These are very different times. Average American now works only 7yrs at the same job, and moves as much. Companies have to make changes for the present and future.. Trucking has always had large turn overs,,and because one company or another has trends directly means nothing.. Its almost like the stock market, its the times were living in. Go with the flow or be left on the side curb.. Its easy to find fault, but facts are harder.. The handwriting is not always on the wall.. So Keep you chin up, your attitude high and you'll go.. It's whatever you want to make it.. Remember, life, death and taxes are guaranteed, in what order may or may not be up to you.. You may plan on getting up in the morning, you may not.. You may plan on going to see a loved one tomorrow, it may never come.. So rejoice in today, your breathing, enjoy you loved ones, you might have a job, you may not, but you got each other and life.. Nothing else is promised, only hoped.. Wait and see what happens then look back and say what you see as a fact that happened, no crystal balls I've ever seen I could bank on.
Be Safe, Live and Spread some good cheer See Ya !luvtheroad and rocknroll nik Thank this. -
