Just wanna hear it from drivers across company lines and different areas. Fair to say a P&D driver averages 12 hour days? What about food service?

I'm with Mclane Foodservice in Atlanta. I've also been with a few other foodservice companies over the years. 11 to 13 hours a day is about what to expect.

3am-done that's how we do it at GFS. Usually we start late at night or very early in the morning and finish up by noon or 1pm.

Although* I've had some 4am-4pm days it's how it goes.

Hey @Buckeye91 - how many hours are our P&D guys getting these days? 10-11?
I was averaging 9 when I was in the city, but that was when we were fully staffed and I had a late start.

I didn't expect to hear from P&D till Monday when they're back on the clock parked somewhere. You food service drivers never stop so of course you're responding on your weekend.

I had 10-12 every day this week. Punched out Wednesday about 7 minutes shy of going into a log book.

Depends on your route and how many pieces, etc. Most of the time I did about 12 to 14 a day throwing about 1200 pieces. My trainer had a 600 piece route. He was in about 6 hours.

I'm new to the p&d club, but usually it's 10 to 11 hours each day. Drivers at my hub that have been here for 10+ years get their panties twisted if they have to work more than 9 hours. Shrug
