I don't know what to tell him about that. It's a gamble anyway, so take the gamble or find another occupation.
He can probably attend private cdl school, paid for by the state, through the WIOA Program. He can Google for how to proceed on that.

Then it means there is no DAC file. Nothing more, nothing less. What any company finds out about you is solely dependent on what is out there to be found out and how much effort and money will be used to get said information. NOBODY, I MEAN NOBODY can answer this question with a one size all answer.

I contacted Hireright for my complete records on file if any two months ago.

The only thing they pulled up was Covenant of Mary 1996 where I went to orientation a monday morning, was tested for heaing by the company doctor as well as a DOT physical in a room with 50 other people talking etc. And was sent home by noon. By friday that week I had a lawyer exporing a multi million dollar punitive suit under the ACA once the FMCSA assured that my current chart (Audiology, DOT Physical, Record etc) was all suitable for hiring into trucking.

Covenant keeps a particular group of 14 other MEGA carriers in the trucking industry as a coalition. Because Covenant does this privately bearing the expense, cost of retaining data for life of all people touched by them into Orientation through hire or not hire etc. shared by the other 14 carriers and absolutely written as gospel into the DAC, Hireright system they are able to inform ANY trucking company I ever apply to in my lifetime, now or 50 years later that I am absolutely failed orientaiton after one day and that I AM NOT HIREABLE BACK to them as a punitive form of black listing.

Otherwise my entire history of life time trucking? Blank.

I just need to make sure I never apply to any of the 15 companies listed in the covenant coalition. Or even mention them at all which I can now do since it's been more than 10 years. Way more. (Freaking 22 years) Another company has me on black listing from Indiana (Legal provided they verbally state on the phone but NEVER PUT IT INTO WRITING. IF I CATCH THEM WRITING THAT MAGIC WORD under Indiana law, I can sue punitively and essentially own the entire billion dollar outfit in judgement. I already won a judgement against them via Maryland Labor Dept and Unemployment for quitting for cause when they cut my miles to nothing and then waited for me to quit. Then dared to inform Maryland I simply quit which does not pay me unemployment. So I had to take that to trial and prove to the Court otherwise, which I was able to do with documented dates, times of no loads under whom in their dispatch combined with the names and numbers of the Operations Manager who had Dispatchers never to load me for he period of time I was hung out to dry with no work until I ran out of money and quit.

Most drivers never have the prinicple or moxie to fight a billion dollar company and win. Even if it's a small case. But even then, it's really important that it worked out well against EcKmiller the way it did from 1995-1996 time period. The time of the confereence call, and the ruling handed down against them by Maryland with me present to hear it first hand and the howls of anger from the Operations Bosses and the Board Member above him involved as defendants named specifically was a very good thing to hear. They lost. At the same time they made sure that many people lost in the future in addition to me.

What I did at that point after realizing that my DAC was destroyed was run a small dump truck for a few years locally wtih NO DAC anywhere and preserve my employment history under trucking with class B and restricted classe A with pintle trailer.

That three year block was much more than acceptable to a employer here in Arkansas for Reefer work OTR to California. I was in Texas on the third day following Orientation completion that morning. I was in Houston that evening at dinner loaded and rolling. Happy happy happy.

Good things come to those who fight.

    Exactly what it says.

They can go back 10 years. If you did anything in that 10 years OTR it will be there. PRovided you were with a employer who subscribes to DAC etc.

There are other ways to discover your earnings history as well. All they have to do is start pulling certain databases.

Axiom in Arkansas Little Rock (Now Minnesota I believe) has a databases file on every. single. American. Citizen Dead, Alive since the founding of our Nation 230+ years ago. They maintain a absolute record of everything you have ever done in life. EVERYTHING.

Don't believe me? Contact them and buy a file under your name, contact info and social. What you will get is more than what God will know about you when you show up in the future before him to be read from his Book of Life.

They do make availible one tiny form. One page sheet.

    Opt out.

There is a final warning with this form. SHOULD YOU fill this form out, sign and send it back. After that file and YOU are deleted from this database. EVERYTHING YOU HAVE EVER DONE in this life as a American Citizen, credit history, Mortgage payment history and anything you have done since being born with school records etc poof. Gone. You will discover that you now have a no credit score, no history with any of the three major credit holders (Exerpian, etc) no history of anything at all elextronically. As if you do not exist. You do however exist with a birth certificate and that's it. You will start all over again from the date that form arrives.
